Hey guys, thanks for the shout-out. I’m a little behind on podcast listening due to our pending expansions and new hires.

I’m pretty much a downtown expert (down there 2-3 times per month) and honestly, you guys pretty much nailed it. You hit all the spots. Everything from fine dining at The Nugget to Mermaids for the old school slots and crazy fried foods. ElCo Cabana suites were a makeover of another old hotel, hence the small rooms. Be happy you weren’t in the old Golden Gate rooms. While nicely redone, they are TINY.

It was nice to hear an honest assessment of downtown. You can’t be TOO snobby or you won’t enjoy it. While not The Strip, the values are fantastic and the cool thing is that you can change your scenery simply by walking 30 seconds to another property. Very much cigar friendly and as you found out, plenty of spots to buy them. I think the only cigar spot you missed was Benny’s Bullpen where you can smoke a cigar and eat if you want. It was specifically built to be a cigar lounge as the Binion’s owner is a big cigar fan.

    Keep up the good work!

Benny’s Bullpen? Hmm. I’ll have to check that out next time I’m in town. 🙂
